Reading is cool!!!!
If you are wondering where the KS PENGUIN came into play, I chose it because 2 students accused me of keeping my classroom like an iceberg and that led to "Reading is Cool!" I am looking forward to participating in 23 Things Kansas so that I can encourage more students to join in my "Reading is Cool" philosophy. For my first blog, I'd like to know why "you" think reading is cool?

I was raised on a farm where we had very poor TV reception in the summer months. Our little city library offered a solution to my youthful boredom. I learned early that even on those hot summer days that reading was cool!
